No backlighting renders this remote pretty much unusable at night. I frequently press the wrong button while trying to use it in the dark and that is incredibly frustrating. I constantly have to turn my light on and off to perform various functions. The TV is great but the remote is a total loser. I see it is out of stock and thats a good thing Ive bought many TVs over the years and this is the first one that did not have a backlit remote.

Worst quality remote Ive ever owned. And Ive bought bad remotes. Buttons wont work after installing new batteries and reprogramming remote. Honestly the basic remote that came with the tv works better than this. Battery cover falls off with the touch of a finger and cursor constantly moves on its own. Tried reprogramming at least 10 times one day cuz it kept acting funny. Would buy anything but lg now.

I got this remote with my LG ThinQ TV but it doesnt have a pause button. We are constantly pausing the television in our house and this actually takes two or three movements in order to pause the TV which I do not understand. Im trying now to find a different brand of remote that works with the LG TV that has a pause button.

We love our 65 LG. Not so its accompanying remote. It is desperately in need of a redesign. These aging eyes of mine and my wife can barely discern the difference between the Guide volume and home button in a dim or dark room. A little judicious use of backlighting would have made all the difference between a 2 star and 5 star review.
As it is we are off searching for a backlit aftermarket replacement to do for us what the manufacturer missed.

The trackball is just so awful and useless what a horrible design.

The remote does all you need to operate the TV however it is lacking in design. The most obvious is that both the volume +/- and the channel up/down buttons are solid black with only raised symbols and no white markings. The cursor works but I would adjust the speed in the settings if you have a hard time like we did keeping it on target while pressing the ok button. The act of pressing down on the button would move the cursor off the selection until we slowed it down. A backlight would be a welcome touch.

I highly recommend the magic remote to everyone. I love it. It makes browsing my LG TV even better than before. I giggle like a kid every time when the little mouse pointer pops up. I think this remote is just the coolest thing ever. I have had multiple surgeries on both hands so holding things can be difficult for me at times. But the ergonomics of the design are so comfortable. All of my products are LG. From my washer dryer stove fridge dishwasher microwave tv so it was obvious that I had to upgrade the remote. Theres no better quality products in my opinion when it comes to home appliances.

Remote came with my television that I purchased last year. It is being held together to allow it to work correctly with a rubber band. It is not backlit and the printing on the buttons has worn off. I live by myself and I have not heard on the mount the remote control. I cannot find it any way to click for repair only to replace. Im very disappointed in this kind of quality in LG product.

When we purchased our new LG television it came with remote control that you would have expected to turn on the set when you touched the button and turn off in similar fashion. It never did even turning itself on and off when no one was in the room. This replacement seems to work as you would expect which is refreshing except for the need to purchase a replacement in the first place.

I bought this remote because it has an Alexa button on it and you can control your smart home or TV with this function. It is really useful to use the voice command to control channels find movies and many other things such as turn on and off the TV. It has a pointer so you and choose items with this function.

This remove came with our LG OLED TV which we love. It died for no apparent reason out of the blue after about four months. Batteries replaced online FAQ troubleshooting all useless. The pointer is also extremely awkward to manoeuvre. The best feature was the Disney+ and Netflix buttons since those are what we use most.

I bought it to replace one that I could not find for my new tv. The older LG remotes do not work with the newer TVS. This is my fourth LG tv and I think they are the best value for the money. I try to keep up with the changing technology and improvements in picture quality. I have a 55 65 and 86 currently. The smaller ones are in bedrooms and the larger is in the family room. The 65 is a C1 and has the best picture quality but the 86 is just a little less rich in color and true black. Everything is wireless so no cable and works just fine. Specifically with the remote it makes it very easy to operate the tvs and get from different services like prime to Netflix or youtube

The remotes buttons are becoming more and more unresponsive and requiring me to press harder and harder just to get the input. Ive taken the remote apart to see if it was maybe dirty or damaged I couldnt see anything wrong with the board the membrane or the plastic casing. Ive just come to the conclusion its a quality control issue that myself and many others have. I also find it very disappointing that there isnt another option for replacement besides purchasing a new remote.

I bought the LG OLED65C1PUB 4K Smart OLED Jan of 2022. Just over a year old and the middle button of the remote works sporadically. Its not a matter of pressure. It just sometimes will work with the slightest touch and other times it will not. I had to buy a pre-programmed LG universal remote to get by but it is not as nice as the original. Would love a new one since I already had to buy a generic LH remote to get by.

Been just over a year with the lg c1 paired with this remote . Seems like most of the buttons especially the power button are not very responsive anymore. To turn the tv on or off I have to press the button super hard. All the buttons you use most are starting to die it seems. The navigation circle left right up down has the same issue. Have to press the button like 3 times to get it to move. Not the quality I expected with the premium price I paid for the tv. Disappointed. Oh and fresh batteries for not make any difference.

Buttons are confusing doesnt light up. No differential in the shape of the buttons so you cant ergonomically choose a button. Absolutely horrible. Im sorry we bought a LG tv and weve purchased these TVs for over a decade. Please make the old remote compatible. Listen to your customers. Dont ignore our feedback.

ponter never is aligned so it can point straight Must align it constantly. Hard to figure out all the functions on the keys Doesnt have a back light so you can see it in the dark Cant get 2 remote pointers to work simotaineously. When using 2 remotes have to re-register the one in use constantly.
